“ayame Archive” is a series that reinterprets past iconic models from a modern perspective.
As the first release, we present “AA-TEAR,” a refined update of the teardrop sunglasses “TEAR,” originally introduced in 2013. Available in limited quantities at ayame stores and the online store.
The signature long temple tips have been updated to lightweight metal temples, maintaining the classic impression while offering a lighter, more comfortable fit.
The Titanium color features ayame’s original titanium nose pads for a cohesive material finish. The top bar is engraved with “AA,” the signature mark of the Archive series.
Inheriting the luxurious feel of the original, this model has been refined for contemporary style.
Balancing the strong presence of a teardrop shape with a natural fit when worn, “AA-TEAR” is a fitting first model for the Archive series.
